tokener is an open-source project by uurtech, made for teams that want AI coding assistants without losing control of the bill.
The story
Teams moving Claude Code onto Amazon Bedrock kept hitting the same wall: the bill grew every month and nobody could say why. tokener started as a way to answer one question, "who spent what, on what?", and grew into a gateway that also helps spend less.
It's MIT-licensed, runs entirely in your own AWS account, and never stores conversation content.
